The initiative was attended by the general director Giuseppe Quintavalle and the rector of theUniversity of Rome Tor Vergata, Nathan Levialdi Ghiron. Maestro Luigi Lanzillotta of theRoma Sinfonietta Association and dr. Bennati, delegated by the President of the Istituto per il Credito Sportivo Antonella Baldini, who supports the organization of the review. The idea for the project was born already in 2020 but the restrictions related to the pandemic framework had not allowed it to take shape. The enthusiasm linked to the beauty and usefulness of the initiative meant that the partnership between the PTV and Roma Sinfonietta, with the decisive ideal and economic support of the Credito Sportivo, gave life, from January 2022, to this ambitious project. An initiative organized for safety reasons, in the large central gallery of the Roman polyclinic.
Notes of well-being for health professionals and patients
The General Manager, Giuseppe Quintavalle, he declared: “The changed conditions finally allow the notes to be released, as was initially foreseen, within the health areas, from hospitalizations to the emergency room. Notes that also reach the heart of those who are not well with the wish to heal soon, thanks to the care of our professionals with the support of music. The music goes to see the patient, walks, stops, changes rooms, changes floors but continues itinerant on its journey through the hospital”. The rector Nathan Levialdi Ghiron he reiterated: “I am happy that this musical activity has resumed not only to give support and strength to the patients and operators of the polyclinic but because together with the university it contributes to the diffusion of the culture of music.
The presence of the Army Band represents an all-round institutional involvement, confirming how much the institutions want to be there”. Maestro Luigi Lanzillotta this is how he expressed himself: “All the musicians participate with emotion and empathy, happy to be heard and reach the heart. This new program pays homage to famous artists such as Piovani, Bacalov and Morricone, ranging from tango to traditional Jewish music and jazz. The harmonies will accompany us until the end of June, when a concert by the Italian Army Band will close this second edition of Musical pills in a resonant way. We hope that this initiative will continue in the years to come”.
