From 2nd to 4th June next the Arezzo Antiques Fair who turns 55. An event that this year presents itself with a special edition and with 214 exhibitors from all over Italy. The event has been held continuously since 1968 in Piazza Grande and in the streets of the centre of the Tuscan capital.
Arezzo Antiques Fair
During the two days of the trade fair, objects of art, furniture, jewellery, books and all kinds of collectibles will be on display. Among the initiatives, on 2 June at 10.30 the Saracino Music Group. On June 3 another of the symbolic places of Arezzo, the historic building in via Pellicceria, will host the workshops of the 'Stanza delle Arti'. It is a series of workshops curated by Art in Tuscany, Rosy Boa and La Relay who, throughout the year, will spread the knowledge of ancient arts and crafts. In practice, they will offer theoretical-practical insights into the arts of sculpture, painting, photography, engraving, printing and collecting.
Workshop sessions on the ancient techniques of the drawing, of photography and engraving. Among the collateral initiatives on 3 and 4 June in via Bicchieraia 'glass harp' shows will alternate during which the great masterpieces of classical and modern music will be interpreted with crystal glasses. The shows, curated by Artscena, they will last about an hour starting at 11, 15 and 17. “We celebrate the first 55 years of our beloved Antiques Fair with many side events that will help to increase the festive atmosphere – comments the councilor for tourism and president of the Arezzo Intour Foundation, Simone Chierici – Furthermore, for the occasion, the Foundation has decided to distribute branded shoppers to exhibitors”.
