"In an unusual, thoughtful and solitary Venice, I presented six opulent, important dresses, with precious jewels such as rubies, diamonds and emeralds. I chose Venice because it was the cradle of civilization and history, a source of inspiration for great artists from all over the world. I like its internationality, the mix of East and West that it contains ".

Remembering the glories of the Venetian Carnival
The parade in Piazza San Marco and at the Hotel Danieli, the ancient residence of the Doges, also wants to be a special tribute to the city on the occasion of the Carnival. “Due to the pandemic Venice will not be able to celebrate Carnival as it has for centuries - comments Grande - Venetian carnival events have always been an international appeal which, from all over the world, has attracted thousands and thousands of tourists to the lagoon. All this this year will be just a dream, a nostalgic memory. To remember these wonderful glories, I strongly wanted to create my haute couture event in Venice. “The collection presented in Venice is made up of six new models which are characterized by precious fabrics and well-finished finishes. They are timeless dresses that can be renewed from time to time with different accessories. For these new creations I used the technique of matalassè or quilted fabric, ostrich feathers, taffeta. The inevitable lace, the rushes and the fluorescent pajiettes. I combined the dresses with ottoman shrugs and coats, soft and warm, but with a light and flowing line. A true hymn to femininity even in times of crisis - highlights AGG - a tribute to good taste, elegance and refinement ".
The future to come
“2020 was a very difficult year but - asserts the designer - thanks to the many difficulties we have experienced, we have discovered new strength, new creative vigor. I personally have treasured this period. I discovered the strength generated by loneliness and isolation which, for me, has turned into new life blood. A fashion creator like me struggles to live without contact with people, without the excitement of the fashion show. One cannot do without the consent of the public.
That's why I thought about doing the digital fashion week, the virtual fashion shows. I've already done one a Florence last summer. Furthermore, I had already been to Venice on the occasion of the cinema exhibition where I walked on the red carpet with my models. It was in the lagoon that I wanted to return, during the Carnival period, to give a dreamy atmosphere to a city that is waiting to archive the sadness that surrounds it forever. A melancholy solitude which, even if it gives a particular touch to its charm, does not do justice to the infinite beauty of Venice ".
