Salernitana continues its search for one-two strikers who can put quality and many goals on the attack. The negotiation for Piatek remains standing, but now another interesting lead is emerging.
The new name is Maupay, Brighton striker. As reported a little while ago by Sky Sport, the Campania region would have offered a large sum to get to the attacker: between 7 and 8 million. The figure is very far from the 15 million requested by the English club, but Salernitana will probably try to raise to close the deal. A positive aspect is the fact that Maupay is due to expire his contract next year, so the British could lower their claims in order not to risk losing him on a free transfer.
