The XXIII edition of the week of the Italian language in the world which will take place from 16 to 22 October 2023, will have the title "Italian and sustainability". The objective is to promote, through the Italian language, the values and culture of sustainability, aspects that Italy represents in a pioneering way in environmental issues on a global level.
The Week of the Italian Language in the World, which takes place every year in the third week of October, is an important event coordinated by the diplomatic-consular network and the Italian Cultural Institutes. It is created in collaboration with important partners in the field of linguistic promotion including the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of University and Research, the Center for the Promotion of Italian, the Swiss Government, the Accademia della Crusca, the General Council of Italians Abroad, the Italian-speaking Radio and Television Community, the Treccani Italian Encyclopedia Institute, RAI Italia and the Dante Alighieri Society. This prestigious initiative, which has received the prestigious High Patronage of the Presidency of the Republic since its inception in 2001, has over the years become the most significant event on a global level dedicated to our language.
