The intuition of Santo Romeo

The passion and competence of the Romeo family made the difference right from the start for the creation of the Amaranca. An intuition born of Santo Romeo and by his sons Marco and Antonello who immediately gathered support in Italy up to international consecration. A prestige for the Sicilia that brings with it the right charm. Amaranca it is in fact a bitter based on wild orange through the processing of the fruit to which it adds medicinal herbs and roots collected on the slopes of the volcano, but the ingredients are top secret.

Victory at the World Liqueur Awards 2021 and international success

The bitter bewitched the jury of the World Liqueur Awards 2021 for the round balance: bitter at the right point thanks to the caramel that completes the taste of herbs, roots and orange. The latter predominates but does not invade, thus offering those who taste it a unique and unrepeatable experience. The finish is instead sealed by rhubarb, yet another surprise that captures the attention of the most passionate.

The victory at the World Liqueur Awards 2021 comes after a path of certificates and awards that have prompted the Romeo company to make Amaranca known also abroad. The company participated in 2018 for the first time in the oldest and most important competition in the world of wines and spirits the London IWSC finishing in second place, he won the silver medal. A year later, Amaranca climbs to the top step, winning the exceptional gold medal for the best amaro in the world at the international Wine Sprits Competition in London.
