The initiative is promoted by the Minister for the South and Territorial Cohesion Mara Carfagna, to relaunch the image of Southern Italy. The video was presented during a press conference to the foreign press. The godmother of exception is Maria Grazia Cucinotta which closed the splendid images of the southern regions with the slogan phrase "Welcome back to the South". The video highlights the crystalline sea, the enchanted villages and the art cities of southern Italy.
The roundup of images is accompanied by a voiceover that says: “Close your eyes, how many times have you dreamed of it? The sound of the sea, the scent of bread and oil, following the thread of art that leads you to a village, the chattering that opens onto a square, the sound of a bell, the seduction of a live concert, the spectacle of ancient crafts, the pleasure of reading a book on the stairs of a thousand-year-old church, the fragrance of coffee, the ritual of food in one of the most loved and culturally rich places in the world. Yesterday you dreamed it, today you can do it. The South of Italy awaits you with attention, safety and love ready to receive the embrace of old and new friends ". Evocative images and words that refer to feelings that will finally be able to return after the pandemic that canceled travel abroad.

Thanks to the collaboration with Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, the video will also be broadcast abroad through the Italian diplomatic network. Mara Carfagna, minister for the South and Territorial Cohesion, presented the video on social media declaring: "The South is back, it's safe and ready to welcome old and new friends".
