Gran Sasso Park, itineraries to discover the locations of famous films. The excursion is scheduled for the morning of Sunday 9 July 2023; the event is organized by Wolftour discover Abruzzo.
Gran Sasso National Park
The evocative itinerary will take walkers from the highlands of Camp Emperor towards the fortresses and villages of Abruzzo. The aim is to go and discover the locations of famous films such as The desert of the Tartars, The road, They kept calling it Trinity, The return of Don Camillo, The Name of The rose, Ladyhawke, St. Francis and Milarepa. Up to the most recent The American, The Event Horizon and The Place of the Soul. A tourist experience that is aimed at tourists who are passionate about Italian and international cinema. The journey retraces the locations of many famous films, highlighting the reasons for choosing this unique and enchanted territory.
The park welcomes and promotes a fruitful succession of events, promoted by bodies, Pro Loco, associations and many other subjects interested in the mountains. Every activity in the protected area helps to strengthen the image of a territorio among the most spectacular which, within 150.000 hectares, contains singular and unique aspects of nature and culture. It is a shared commitment that wants to give life back to the mountain, growing in collaboration and understanding. This, with the aim of encouraging the carrying out of experiences which, month by month, tell the story of countries, men, traditional crafts and a still wild nature, to be kept uncontaminated.
