Violence on the pitch: match suspended

Bad episodes of violence during an Italian football match. Riot on the pitch between the teams, a serious episode which pushed the referee to suspend the match. The match was suspended in the second half.

The episode happened at the Madrepietra Stadium in Apricena during the match played this morning by Asd Lesina Calcio and Sporting Torremaggiore, valid for the seventh day of the third category single-group championship. According to reports foggiatoday, the police would also have intervened.

The match was suspended at 2 to 1 for Lesina Calcio. In the 70th minute, the referee's final whistle came prematurely.
