If you want to savor some of the Authentic Tuscany, getting lost in its immense greenery and engaging in idyllic trekking, the Val di Chiana is the ideal place. An area that has a lot to offer, full of paths that allow you to discover it far and wide. The possibilities to choose from are certainly not lacking. Here are some of them:

To these a new one is added. A journey that is the result of the enhancement work of the GTValdichiana Cultural Association. This is the via Clanis.
Discovering the Clanis Way
The name of this long route derives from the Clanis river, which characterizes the area. The journey is structured in a precise way through eight different stages. These form a real ring, whose circumference is about 200 km.
A process of realization that began in 2018. Three years ago the first 42km of this path were inaugurated. All this took place on the occasion of the first edition of the GTValdichiana Marathon, which involved 420 enthusiasts from all over Italy. A call that aims to attract passionate walkers, experienced trekkers and people interested in beginners. Everyone can choose the perfect path according to their abilities, going to the discovery of one of the richest territories of the Toscana. A naturalistic and cultural treasure to be fully appreciated at any time of the year.
There is no race to win, no race to complete as quickly as possible. The goal is not to reach a place at the end of the path, but to fully enjoy the journey on which you have ventured. A form of slow tourism, all to be rediscovered. Let time pass without worrying about it, while you get lost in front of a dream landscape. In particular the routes range from 17 km to 32 km, approximately. There are different levels of difference in height and difficulty, so you can choose the most suitable stretch for your physical abilities. There are no limits related to the seasons, which means that at any time of the year you can prepare the necessary and leave.

- First step: Arezzo - La Sassaia - Castiglione Fiorentino
- Second stage: Castiglione Fiorentino - Le Celle - Cortona
- Third stage: Cortona - Castiglione del Lago
- Fourth stage: Castiglione del Lago - Montepulciano
- Fifth stage: San Biagio - Sinalunga
- Sixth stage: Sinalunga - Lucignano
- Seventh stage: Lucignano - Gargonza - Monte San Savino
- Eighth stage: Monte San Savino - Civitella - Arezzo
A background to this experience are the many institutional events, organized in the vast Tuscan territory. It is in fact possible to better orchestrate one's adventure in nature, arriving in places full of things to do and discover, or where to relax at some spa healthy. In fact, we will move between some of the most beautiful villages in Italy, also rich in a vast one culinary tradition.
