“Atalanta BC announces that it has definitively acquired from Hellas Verona FC the right to the sporting services of the footballer Isak Malcolm Kwaku Hien, a strong central defender (191 cm tall) with right foot, who has chosen 4 as his shirt number. Born in Kista, Sweden, on 13 January 1999 to parents of Ghanaian and Burkina Faso origins, he joined the Nerazzurri from Hellas Verona, for whom he played the first part of the current season, making 10 appearances - all as a starter - in Serie A. Also last season he played with Hellas Verona, making a total of 33 appearances in Serie A, including the victorious play-off against Spezia. He joined Hellas Verona at the end of August 2022 after having played six matches in the previous weeks (with a goal) in the Conference League qualifiers with Djurgardens, with whom he made his debut in the top Swedish national championship - called Allsvenskan - in the 2021/22 season, collecting 21 appearances and 2 goals. Even at youth sector level he grew and matured in Sweden, more precisely in Valasund, with whom after his career in the academy he first tried his hand in Ettan Norra and then in Superettan, the third and second football divisions of Sweden respectively. He also has 8 appearances for the Swedish national team. Atalanta BC extends a warm welcome to Isak and wishes him the best satisfaction - personally and as a team - in the Nerazzurri shirt."
