We are now in the middle of summer, just a few days before August XNUMX, but many Italians are still deciding where to go on holiday and above all which beaches to choose to have fun and relax.

Once upon a time, tourist resorts tried to promote themselves through advertisements in periodicals and advertisements on traditional media, but today it seems that the choices, especially by the younger ones, are directed by the famous and perhaps even infamous Social Networks.

With this awareness that the portal of holiday homes holiday drew up the ranking of the top 50 Italian beaches based on the number of post views on Instagram and TikTok, using the beach name as a hashtag.

The most mentioned Italian beaches on social networks

The Beach of Porto Selvaggio, one of the most famous beaches in Puglia, located in Nardò, in the province of Lecce, was the most loved beach ever with over 63000 total views on Instagram and even over 3 million on TikTok.

The Ligurian beach of Boccadasse, located a few kilometers from Genoa, with almost 130 views on Instagram and 1,8 million on TikTok.

The podium is completed by Porto Pino, a fraction of the municipality of Sant'Anna Arresi, in the recently appointed province of Southern Sardinia.

Sardinia wins the challenge between the regions

The region that has won the highest number of beaches in the ranking of the top 50 is Sardinia, which has placed 39 out of 50 in the ranking, 7 of which are among the top 10.

In addition to the aforementioned port pine, we find in the Top Ten:

  • Come on. Come on, in Quartu Sant'Elena (Cagliari)
  • Port Rush, in Villasimius (South Sardinia)
  • On Giudeu, in Domus De Maria (Cagliari)
  • Punta Molentis, in Villasimius (South Sardinia)
  • S'Archittu (Oristano)
  • Cala Domestica (South Sardinia).

Other Sardinian beaches that have ranked among the top 50 are:

  • Cala Goloritzé, Baunei (Nuoro)
  • Great Hermits, Cabras (Oristano)
  • Cala Capriccioli, Arzachena (Sassari)
  • Pink beach, Island of Budelli (Sassari)
  • The Hairy, Stintino (Sassari)
  • Cala Brandinchi, Capo Coda Cavallo (Sassari)

The Top Beaches in the other regions

Behind the Sardinia which has placed 39 beaches in the Top 50 ranking, we find the Puglia , Liguria with 3 beaches each.

In addition to the absolute first position with Porto Selvaggio, Puglia sees San Pietro in Bevagna and Spiaggia del Frascone awarded.

Liguria, in addition to Boccadasse, positioned in second place overall, places Bonassola and Varigotti in the Top 50.

Tuscany follows in fourth place with two beaches, both on the Island of Elba: Padulella in Portoferraio, and Cavoli beach, in Campo nell'Elba.

Marche, Calabria and Abruzzo also conquered one beach each.

Nature and tranquility win over discos

Reading the complete ranking on Holidu, the domain of the beaches would seem clear where the natural beauty of the place and the tranquility of the localities reign supreme, to the detriment of the beaches where loud music, famous discos and large clubs are the protagonists.

Probably the beauty of the sea is also a decisive factor in the choice and in this case it is immediately understandable why Sardinia has dominated the ranking, thanks to one of the most beautiful seas in all of Europe.
