The Draghi government is working to define the final details of the new Covid decree. In practice, the new decree extends the dpcm of last March 2, providing for stricter anti-contagion measures from April 7 and for the whole month. The draft provides that only orange and red zone measures are applied: therefore no yellow zone. However, the new provisions establish the possibility of providing for exceptions in the case of low infections and particularly good data from the vaccination campaign.

Meanwhile, according to data released by the Ministry of Health, in Italy they registered in the last 24 hours 23.904 new positive cases (yesterday 16.017). The new deaths are 467 (yesterday 529); the discharged healed are 23.744 (yesterday 18.687). Currently the positive cases are a total of 562.508 (yesterday 562.832). The swabs made in the last 24 hours are 351.221 (yesterday 301.451). In intensive care there are 3.710 Covid patients; in home isolation they still remain 529. 618 people infected with the virus.

Vaccination will be an "essential requirement" for the exercise of the profession.

If this is not possible, “no remuneration is due for the period of suspension”. The other hot topic is that of travel abroad. The ordinance issued yesterday by the Ministry of Health on the obligation of a swab and quarantine of 5 days, for those who go abroad and return to Italy or for those who enter Italy from abroad, could be extended until 30 April.

Reopening of schools and penal shield

Back to class up to sixth grade throughout Italy, red areas included. In this regard, the governors will not be able to issue more restrictive orders to suspend the activity in presence. This is foreseen by the draft of the decree under discussion by the Council of Ministers. In the orange zone, attendance is expected up to the eighth grade and with a minimum of 50 percent in high school.

In the new Covid decree the unblocking of competitions

Finally, in the decree, there will be a rule to unblock all competitions in the public administration, including that for magistrates. This, in relation to the green light of the Scientific Technical Committee towards the protocol developed by the Ministry of Public Administration. Therefore, competitions can be held as long as they take place on a regional and provincial basis, thus avoiding the movement of candidates from one region to another, and, where possible, "in open spaces".
