Guide to the magnificent places between Tuscany and Lazio where the blockbuster series aired on Raiuno was filmed

Our luck is that "I Medici", an international co-production with record ratings, was shot entirely in Italy. In some cases, due to stage requirements, studios were used in which some rooms were reconstructed, such as, for example, the dome of the Duomo of Florence during the construction phase.

For the rest, more than 30 shots were made "real" places concentrated between Lazio and Tuscany. And this had the power to make the series even more believable, featuring 120 actors, 2.300 extras, 2.500 costumes and 17 weeks of production.

The series is an opportunity to learn more I doctors, historical and powerful Florentine family, but above all to get to know the beautiful Florence, its surroundings, the Toscana and other places of the Lazio.
