Here are the data for today, May 14, relating to the Coronavirus situation in Italy. Encouraging data, but which must not let our guard down
The diffusion
Once again, the figure for the increase in infected every day remains below 1000. Today there have been 992 new cases, for a total of 223.096 since the beginning of the pandemic. This data is the result of 71876 swabs, very high number of tests. The percentage of positive swabs is 1,4%, this data is an excellent indicator of the spread of the virus, and even today, it remains stable.
Other important data
The reassuring descent of the total number of positive people. Today there are 2.017 fewer infections in progress than yesterday, for a total of 76440. The figure for healed, with 2.747 patients discharged / negativised today, for a total of 115.288 recoveries. Slightly rises there epidemic curve, from 0,40% to 0,45%.
From hospitals
The excellent trend of decline in hospital pressure continues due to the sharp decrease in intensive care patients and hospitalized patients with symptoms. THE ICU patients are 855, also the data of the hospitalized patients with symptoms, for a total of 11.453.
Who hasn't made it
The daily figure of deaths is down sharply compared to the average of the past few weeks. Today 262 registered deaths. Still many. But hope grows.
