National Archaeological Museum of Naples (MANN) 

Considered one of the most important in the world, the National Archaeological Museum of Naples (MANN) houses the widest and most remarkable selection of works of art and artifacts of archaeological interest from the entire national panorama.

Capitoline Museums in Rome 

Taking the train from Naples to Rome you can reach the capital, where in Piazza del Campidoglio you can access the sumptuous palaces that house the Capitoline Museums. The most famous works that you can admire are the equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius and the Capitoline Wolf, which has become the symbol of the city. This is the oldest public museum in the world. The opening of the Capitoline Museums dates back to 1471, when Pope Sixtus IV offered the city of Rome a collection of bronzes which found their place in the courtyard of the Palazzo dei Conservatori, overlooking Piazza del Campidoglio.

National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria

Il National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria (MArRC) houses one of the finest collections of artifacts dating back to Magna Graecia. The archaeological collections of the museum include finds and excavation materials found mostly in southern Italy, which tell the story of Magna Graecia, with the addition of some prehistoric finds dating back to the Roman period. Here you can admire none other than the Riace Bronzes, one of the symbols of Reggio Calabria. These are two large bronze statues presumably dating back to the fifth century BC found in this area.

La Uffizi Gallery it occupies the first and second floor of the grandiose building built on a project by the architect Giorgio Vasari. Inside it exhibits collections ranging from the Middle Ages to the contemporary era, and you can admire live many famous works by Raffaello Sanzio, Tiziano, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Giotto, Caravaggio and Sandro Botticelli, including Spring and the Birth of Venus. 

Also in Florence you cannot miss a visit to the Accademia Gallery, where great works by Michelangelo Buonarroti are exhibited, including the famous David.

Museum of Modern Art of Bologna

Opened in 2007 and in constant renewal, the Museum of Modern Art of Bologna (MAMbo) traces the history of Italian art from the post-war period to today, with a focus on the Romagna capital and in particular on the Bolognese artist Giorgio Morandi.

Brera Art Gallery in Milan

Renowned gallery of ancient and modern art, the Pinacoteca di Brera it is located in Milan, inside the homonymous building. The exhibition is spread over a single floor and the collection is divided into several exhibition rooms, divided according to time. It ranges from frescoes to Gothic painting, from the Emilian Renaissance to the Lombard seventeenth century, from Piero della Francesca to Bramante and Caravaggio.

Egyptian Museum of Turin

Founded in 1824 by Carlo Felice di Savoia, the Egyptian Museum of Turin it is the oldest museum in the world dedicated to Egyptian culture. With the beauty of 37 thousand pieces, it is second in importance only to that of Cairo. Housed on the four floors of the Palazzo dell'Accademia delle Scienze, the collection traces the history of the Egyptian Kingdom from the pre-dynastic period to the late antiquity. Here you can admire the famous statue of Ramses II and two huge sandstone sphinxes presumably dating back to the XNUMXth century BC.

In Turin, the National Automobile Museum is certainly worth a visit, named after the entrepreneur Gianni Agnelli and considered one of the most important automotive museums globally. 

Galata, the Museum of the Sea of ​​Genoa 

Among the most modern museums in Italy, the Galata of Genoa boasts a permanent exhibition space of about 12 thousand square meters spread over five floors. Inaugurated in 2004, it is located not far from the famous Aquarium of Genoa, in a building of the city dock where the galleys of the Genoese fleet were built in the past.

South Tyrolean Archaeological Museum 

Al Archaeological Museum of Bolzano: South Tyrolean Archeology Museum, Ötzi, the famous Neolithic shepherd, awaits you. With its 5 thousand years, it is one of the oldest mummies in the world.
