Conceived by the elegant pen of the writer Andrea Camilleri, the film has literally routed the Italian borders. The stories, broadcast in over 20 countries around the world, won the trust of the United Kingdom, achieving the podium of the 10 most viewed programs. The series takes its first steps back in 1999, to shape its success in fourteen seasons. Curiosities from the series “Inspector Montalbano

"The shape of water" is the first novel published in 1994 by Camilleri. These pages "present" Commissioner Montalbano to the general public, for the first time in Italy. A detective novel by Camilleri, a sort of starting grid for the television series, known all over the world. This character, at times gruff, takes its name in homage to the writer Manuel Montalban, appreciated by Camilleri. After the editorial successes, the episodes got millions of plays on Rai2 and Rai1. "The carousel of exchanges", and again "The trip to Tindari" are the most followed episodes ever.

The fantasy of Camilleri he left an authentic heritage of culture, his novels are part of the tradition in our country.
