The event “Italians in the world, organized by the Italiani.it foundation, took place in Rome on October 25th, at Palazzo Valentini. Participants: Paola Stranges, president of the italiani.it Foundation; L'Hon. Mariano Angelucci, Councilor of the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital and Councilor of the Municipality of Rome, as well as President of the XII Permanent Commission on Tourism, Fashion, International Relations; Alessandro Alongi, Councilor of Rome XII, journalist and university professor; L'Hon. Alessandro Pagano; Anita Pititto, psychologist, who read an original document that tells a difficult story of emigration; Domenico Praticò, SUIM; Fabius Pompeii, journalist, who moderated the conference.
During the conference the president of the foundation italiani.it discussed the vast project associated with the Foundation itself:
“There are many Italians who have distinguished themselves abroad and who have made fortunes and we are very proud of our excellence, we are proud of the Italians who carry the name of Italy high in the world but, unfortunately, our history of emigration is made also of many simple people who live with great difficulties. Their requests often fall on deaf ears and this is unacceptable because these Italians are often the descendants of those who had a story similar to the one told today. And precisely with the aim of raising awareness of the issue of our emigrants, the italiani.it foundation has obtained funding, with the approval of the Ministry of Culture, to create the Emigrant Museum online. It is a project that we are passionate about and which we will dedicate ourselves to with great attention."

The italiani.it foundation is the social soul of a larger project, the italiani.it project which was born many years ago, born from an idea, perhaps from a dream that began to take shape with the purchase of the italiani.it domain .it which is the name of the Italian people. This domain gave us the responsibility to talk about worthy topics and this is how the mission of italiani.it was born, to tell the beauty of Italy and the Italian spirit through the largest network of Italians in the world.

It does this through social media, through the Noi.italiani.it Community which is a large virtual square where individuals, companies and also the many associations of Italians abroad meet to talk about topics relating to Italy that they have in common; it does so through a network of people in the area who love Italy and maintain its traditions and culture abroad also with the diffusion of the art of Italian fashion and music".

A video was then shown with greetings to those present and to the foundation from Italians living abroad, from Brazil to Switzerland, from Australia to Canada.
It was a wonderful evening made up of meetings and emotions thanks to the contribution of all those who, with their presence, demonstrated that they have Italy in their hearts.
