The second edition of the exhibition "Roman Artists in Malta" was a great success, which took place last Saturday 7 October in Valletta, at the headquarters of the Dante Alighieri Society. There was a good public presence, great enthusiasm from the organizers and the Italian artists who participated, exhibiting some of their most significant works. Yet another confirmation, therefore, accompanied by great satisfaction, for the Foundation italiani.it, who organized the event with care and passion, in collaboration with the European Center for Cultural Studies e QuiMalta.eu. The works will remain on display for a limited period.
Paola Stranges: “Art, to promote understanding and friendship between peoples”
With the exhibition "Roman Artists in Malta", the italiani.it Foundation, whose primary objective is to promote Italian culture in the world, has added another important piece to the mosaic of its interesting and ambitious project. The theme of this edition was “the Culture of Peace and Life”, from which the artists were inspired to spread their personal message of love to a world in which, unfortunately, peace still seems like a chimera, difficult to achieve.
Pleased with the success of the inauguration, the president of the italiani.it Foundation, Paola Stranges, commented on the event as follows: "Once again - he said - we focused on art as a universal vehicle, capable of connecting different countries and cultures and producing common emotions, without barriers. The enthusiasm of the international public has, in fact, confirmed the universal power of art to touch hearts and inspire meaningful conversations. The exhibition underlined the importance of cultural initiatives like this, in promoting understanding and friendship between peoples."
An opportunity for artists and visitors
“Roman Artists in Malta” has received the patronage of important institutions: the European Parliament, Lazio region,Department of Culture of Rome Capital , Italian Confederation of Union of Intellectual Professions, who is also one of the official patrons of the Rome Art Week. Roman and Italian artists participated in the exhibition, such as Giulia Culicchia, Giancarlo Zenato, Federica Maganja, Livia D'Agostino and the famous Mauro Pallotta, known as Maupal.
The different artistic expressions have captured the attention of a varied, curious and art-loving audience. Visitors also had the opportunity to meet the artists and interact directly with them, exchanging ideas and impressions. Refreshments were kindly provided by Zerosei Trattoria Romana e Sotto, adding a touch of Italian authenticity to the artistic experience.
