Mattarella bis: the outgoing head of state is again at the helm of the nation. Sergio Mattarella is the 13th President of the Italian Republic, elected in the eighth call tonight with 759 votes. An election that comes at the end of an entire week in which the votes in Parliament have followed one another but to no avail. Days of clashes between parties and Machiavellian strategies that turned out to be useless. Tactics from sophists who did not agree with the 1009 electors. Only this morning was an agreement reached in the majority summit on Mattarella encore. This, despite the outgoing head of state having repeatedly repeated that he did not want to accept a second mandate but, in fact, the Italian political landscape was unable to express a name on which all forces converged. The re-election of Mattarella is a source of great satisfaction for the Italians who really love the 'mild' president as he is defined but who, at the right moment, showed character and determination.
