Tomorrow, 18 April 2023, the Salone del Mobile begins, set up in the Fiera Milano district in Rho; it will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. This was confirmed by the president of the event, Maria Porro, who reiterated: "Premier Meloni's presence highlights the importance of the furniture fair for the whole country". Today Monday 17, the president of the Senate Ignazio La Russa will be present at the event that anticipates the inauguration of the Salone at Teatro alla Scala from Milan; an event open to a thousand guests.
Milan hosts the Salone del Mobile
Several ministers are also expected to visit during the week of the Salone del Mobile. These include the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport and Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, the holder of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani. Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti, Tourism Daniela Santanchè, Education Giuseppe Valditara, Business and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso, Environment Gilberto Pichetto Fratin and Anna Maria Bernini University and Research. Queen Maxima of the Netherlands will also be present at the inauguration of the Salon.
On the occasion of this 61st edition, the annual events of the International Furniture and Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, Workplace 3.0, the third edition of S.Project. And the event dedicated to schools, universities and under-35 designers, the SaloneSatellite, which in 2023 celebrates its 24th edition. Much awaited is the return to the fair of Eurolight, the event dedicated to lighting design, which after a 4-year break brings the best brands in the sector to the pavilions. More than 420 exhibitors took part in the last edition, half of which came from abroad. Insiders who met and discussed the fields of technological and lighting innovation, ofeco-sustainability of luminaires and light sources, energy saving and the most cutting-edge software, including home automation and IoT.

As usual, the events will be accompanied by a packed cultural program full of exceptional guests who will bring unprecedented perspectives and exclusive points of view on the world of design to the stage of the fair.
