The sixties are Massimo Ranieri's springboard. His career really starts very early. His enchanting voice, noticed by Gianni Aterrano, allowed the very young Ranieri to start earning considerable sums for the time. In '67 the first important victory arrives at the Cantagiro, and in 1968, at the age of 17, the stage of the Sanremo Festival opens up for Massimo. In the same year one of his most beautiful songs was born, Red Roses.

The eighties and nineties

The eighties saw a great Ranieri protagonist in various films, such as "The black shadow of Vesuvius" and "Pulcinella". Meanwhile, in 1988 he returned to the Italian Song Festival with the song "Perdere d'amore", a song that won first place in the prestigious music festival. In 1992 with the song "I think of you" collects a fifth place always at the Sanremo Festival.

Theater, television, films, Ranieri's extraordinary journey knows no end. This artist with a strong character, with a powerful and exciting voice, is a real symbol for millions of Italians and beyond. On February 5, 2020 he returns to the Sanremo Festival, this time as a guest together with Tiziano Ferro, obtaining remarkable ratings. From Thursday 3 December, for 4 weeks he is again on Rai3 with the program Here and Now. “As a child”, “Losing love”, “Red roses, and again“ If the city burned ”, are the melodies that project the great Massimo Ranieri among the world leaders.

Curiosity

With her first earnings, we remember that her career starts at a very young age, she decides to help her sister, to make her dream of marriage come true. For one of his very first works he earned 200 thousand lire, an important sum for the sixties. At 13, he left for the United States to perform on the Brooklyn stage.
