Once upon a time there was Japan, home to all the biggest video game houses: from Super Mario to Sonic through Pac-Man and Solid Snake. Today, however, the rest of the world can also boast respectable productions, and among the countries that have been carving out a first-rate space in recent years there is also Italy. Time ago in fact we told you about Assetto Corsa, the jewel of the Kunos Simulations. Today it is the turn of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, developed by Ubisoft Milan.
Mario + Rabbids: one of the flagship titles of the new Nintendo
The game, released last August 29, immediately presents itself as one of the flagship titles of Nintendo Switch. It was developed by Ubisoft Milan, with the support of the Paris section as regards the marketing section. But the surprise lies in Nintendo's granting of its most representative character, that is Super Mario. In fact, the Japanese company has rarely left the rights of the most famous plumber in the world to other developers. However, at least for this time, he seems to have made an exception. The team of David Soliani, Creative Director of Ubisoft, thus had full freedom in the development of Mario + Rabbids. The result is a unique game of its kind, which mixes two very distant universes: that of Super Mario and that of the Rabbids.
War of the Worlds
But what is Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle about? The story begins in the workshops of a young inventor while she works on one of her projects: a helmet capable of fusing two objects into one. During the experiment, however, i make their appearance Rabbids, little bunnies created years ago by Ubisoft. These take possession of the special helmet and flee between the various worlds reaching that of Super Mario. Here they will begin to create chaos and turmoil, forcing Mario and his friends to intervene to restore order. Thus begins a long series of epic and entertaining battles between the protagonists of the two universes, all suitable for both young and old audiences.
