A few months ago, the online translation market has seen the entry of Ludwig, the English language translator designed by a small Sicilian startup.
Ludwig (www.ludwig.guru), named in honor of the famous Austrian philosopher of language Ludwig Wittgenstein, is a program created to optimize the concept of translation.
Thanks to a database with millions of sentences and an algorithm it is able to decipher a word not only through the literary meaning, but also from the context in which it is used.
Ludwig's success
Born in Palermo in 2014, the Sicilian startup worked hard for the realization of Ludwig.
Antonio Rotolo, archaeologist in the field of university research, Federico Papa, lawyer, and Roberta Pellegrino, cognitivist specialized in decision-making and business mechanisms, are the founders of the small startup that won the Telecom Italia Working Capital.
The feedback from the first weeks has been more than positive.
