Luca and Matteo are traveling, they are making a tour of Sicily on a Vespa.
Luca, who drives the blue Vespa is from Catania, Matteo who drives the metallic gray Vespa is from Rimini, they are cousins and they share the passion for the legendary Piaggio Vespa!
Luca and Matteo: story of a journey
Matteo did not have a wasp but he wanted it, finally a year ago he bought it and fell in love with it, he became passionate about this object, an icon of Italy all over the world and also made famous by the film Roman Holidays with Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn, two world-class star!
Matteo dreams of doing a tour, so he contacts Luca to decide the itinerary ... Barcelona, Paris, Croatia, are all possible destinations of their trip, at some point their attention is focused on Istria, because there, Italy and the Italian spirit are strongly present, represented by communities, schools and local groups.
Then, one morning, Luca's phone call arrives and he has an idea, why not take a tour in beautiful Sicily?
Luca is Sicilian and Matteo is half Sicilian, in short, they like the idea, Matteo takes his Vespa to Catania, now the two have a destination.
The project begins!
The first months of preparation are excited and adrenaline-pumping, the wasps must be in perfect condition and the beating must be studied in detail.
Vespa trip!
On June 28, 2016 at 6.00 in the morning, full of adrenaline and excited, let's go!
The first step is Milazzo, passing through Isola Bella, it immediately catches the eye how Italy is a unique and inimitable country, changing in its landscapes, colors and scents, in Sicily it is possible to pass from a landscape reminiscent of Cortina to a Caribbean one, in around twenty minutes
The second stage it is Cefalù, which enchants them with its sinuous coast and the blue of the sea that merges with the sky.
Cefalù is part of the Madonie group and is included in the club of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The city retains much of the Sicilian tradition and our Luca and Matteo let themselves be overwhelmed by the local characteristics, enjoying the exquisite, colorful and inviting food, meeting the local artisans and traveling not only on a Vespa but also on foot the streets of the characteristic Sicilian town
The third stage of the trip is Palermo, the capital of Sicily, a city of absolute beauty, unique food, enchanting views.
The city is very ancient, its long history and the succession of numerous civilizations and peoples, have given it a remarkable and unique artistic and architectural heritage that make it rich in history, culture, art and that have allowed it to play a decisive role in history of the Mediterranean and Europe.
