Beatles or Rolling Stones? This dilemma has gripped entire generations for half a century, and it is still possible today to witness heated debates on the subject. Then there is another comparison, certainly more silent, but equally interesting: the one that concerns the two wheels. We are talking about the two scooters symbol of Made in Italy: the Wasp , Lambretta. The latter celebrates its 70th anniversary in June, and for the occasion has decided to take revenge. How? With its new model V-Special, nicknamed by fans the Revenge.

The new Lambretta scooter

V-Special: this is the name of the latest Lambretta model. The historic Italian brand has decided to relaunch itself with a new vehicle by taking back the Italian roads. Solid body, compact and with the ability to customize most of the scooter. Like? By changing the side panels of the body, just as if it were a mobile phone cover. Then there is one of the classic features of the Lambretta brand: the slim and elegant saddle. Another strong point is the design, managed directly by Kiska Designing Desire. Doesn't that tell you anything? It is the same company that has been dealing with models for years KTM, considered by experts to be among the best in the industry. The engine, as in all models of the Italian brand, guarantees excellent performance and reliability.
The V-Special is currently available in 50, 125 and 200 cc displacements. For 2018, however, the model with the electric motor.

A long history 70 years

In the far 1947 Ferdinand Innocenti he conceived a scooter with a unique design and a reliable engine. It was Italy that had just emerged from the war, with an economy in disarray and a people intent on rebuilding an entire nation. Few could afford certain luxuries, let alone a means of transportation. Innocenti therefore tried to keep costs as low as possible, without compromising the quality of the product. And after hard work, in June of the same year, the first models began to come out of the factory in Segrate (ME).

It was a success. Within a few years the Lambretta became one of the symbols of the Italian rebirth. In 25 years they were sold over two and a half million of models all over the world, becoming one of the most coveted Italian products abroad. Germany, England, Argentina: fleets of scooters could be glimpsed in the middle of city traffic on every street. The Lambretta was then bought by Indian government, which produced it until 1997. And now, after years of silence, the historic Italian brand is back on track, and it does so with arrogance. He does it with his staff Revenge.
