From 20 to 22 June 2022 it will take place at the prestigious Villa Rendano of Cosenza the second edition of the Alfonso Rendano International Music Festival, organized by the Attilio and Elena Giuliani Foundation. The artistic direction is entrusted to Daniela Rome, Calabrian pianist residing in the United States.
The Festival will be inaugurated on June 20 at 20:00 by the internationally renowned concert artist Leslie Howard.
The program of June 21 will be dedicated to the music of Calabrian composers: at 19:00 there will be a "Dialogando su ... Alfonso Rendano" with the great-grandson of the Calabrian composer, Mark Ruffolo (journalist of “la Repubblica) and Daniela Roma who will perform some pieces by Rendano on the piano; at 20:00 will follow the concert of the "Duo Resonance" formed by opera soprano Teresa Cardace and from pianist and researcher Angela Floccari.
The "Trio Dmitrij" formed by Henry Domenico Durante on the violin, Francesco Alessandro De Felice on the cello and Michele Sampaolesi on the piano.
All the artists will pay tribute to Alfonso Rendano by performing, among others, some of the pieces by the Calabrian composer.
