At the Codogno hospital the area destined for Covid patients finally closes: an extraordinary news that marks an important milestone for the Lombard town from the outbreak of the pandemic to today. In fact, after more than a year from the beginning of the health emergency, the Covid area of the hospital no longer has patients. This is the ward that welcomed the first Italian patient infected with Coronavirus. Just today the last patient recovered from the hospital was discharged from this ward virus. Meanwhile, the contagion curve drops more and more, recording very optimistic data. According to ministerial reports, there are 2.557 new positive cases today (yesterday 1.968). The deaths of the last 24 hours are 73 (yesterday 59). The carried out molecular and antigenic buffers are 220.939 (yesterday 97.633). Covid patients admitted to intensive care are 836 (yesterday 892). In home isolation they remain 193.868 people infected with the virus (189.953 yesterday). The discharged healed today are 7.853 (yesterday 6.392) while the currently positive cases are 200.192 (yesterday 205.562).
The Covid area of Codogno closes and all regions are at low risk
“The curve is decreasing at the European level; the Italian figure also shows a decrease and the number of loved ones is clearly decreasing. The incidence is 32 cases per 100 inhabitants and all regions are below the value of 50 cases per 100 inhabitants ”. This was stated by the president of the Higher Institute of Health, Silvio Brusaferro.
In practice all regions and autonomous provinces are classified as low risk, according to what is learned in the draft of the weekly monitoring Iss-Ministry of Health. All have an average Rt of less than 1 and therefore a transmissibility compatible with a type one scenario. In light of these data, from next Sunday, Italy will no longer be considered a covid risk area for the Germany.
