Bologna celebrates i LEGO, the famous colored bricks born from the mind of the Dane Ole kirk christiansen, with the event I Love LEGO a Albergati Palace. The exhibition, created by PiumaIn partnership with artemisia and with the patronage of municipality of Bologna, was inaugurated last 7st May and it can still be visited for a few days, until September 26th. I Love LEGO is an exhibition for all lovers of these iconic bricks, large and, above all, small. The exhibition consists of more than a million by LEGO. Furthermore, some of the scale reproductions of the exhibition come from private collections of leading LEGO collectors in Europe.

I Love LEGO: bricks, microworlds and more

Exposure matters 7 different worlds to scale, from those with landscapes related to the world of pirates, to those with medieval villages and castles, up toAncient Rome. In the latter microworld the Forum of Augustus, perfect in every detail. With LEGO it is in fact possible to create anything. In addition to being able to admire the various creations, visitors to I Love LEGO are also offered a unique "treasure hunt" or rather "character hunt". In fact, within the microworlds are hidden intruders, Such as Dart Vader di Star Wars in the world of pirates.

However, I Love LEGO is not just made up of worlds to scale made with the famous Danish bricks. The exhibition also hosts some works by the Roman artist Stephen Bolcato, who for the occasion created works with the technique of oil painting, transforming the subjects of some of the world's most famous works of art into LEGO characters. Among these are the "Girl with a pearl earring"of Vermeer, The "portrait of Dante Alighieri"of Botticelli, The "portrait of Giotto" and many others. Another important collaboration in the I Love LEGO exhibition is that of Legolize. It's about a satirical page born on Facebook in 2016 from an idea of Peter Alcaro, Matthias Marangon e Samuel Rovituso, which uses LEGO characters to create gods hilarious memes.

The I Love LEGO exhibition in Bologna is open every day. It can be visited by Monday to Friday from 15 am to 20 pm, while in a weekend e on holidays from 10 am to 20 pm. Tickets are available on the Palazzo Albergati website. Finally, in order to access the exhibition, as per legislation, it is necessary to be equipped with Green pass.
