The tradition of Halloween, like every October 31st, knocks on the doors of Italian homes.
Mystery roams the streets, mysticism, cold air, the feeling that the world of the dead has mingled with that of the living.
All waiting for a Halloween adventure to be able to tell their friends.

Halloween in the past ...

Most of the testimonies on this festival are related to the medieval period.
But what do we Italians have to do with Halloween?
Well, Italy does not have too different a tradition. Assuming that the place of origin of Halloween is undisputed, it seems that in the past children in Italy would knock on doors, asking for a dessert made from raisins called "soul bread", in exchange for prayers for their deceased. .
The step of northern European culture has taken over our traditions a little, causing many to be forgotten.

… And in the present

Today, from the youngest to the oldest, everyone is organizing to celebrate this day full of fun and with a touch of irony. All children can't wait to say the famous trick or treat question. Dressed as little monsters, hideous vampires, zombies and scary witches, they hope to have something good and sweet to eat all together during the evening and even at night. Or doing some bad tricks on those who refuse or do not want to participate in the party.
Young people, on the other hand, organize parties, at home or in clubs. Some watch a horror movie. Still others prefer a comfortable evening already organized in the clubs between a cocktail and good music to go wild. One thing is certain: no one gives up celebrating Halloween!
So, get the costumes out, they'll all be fine, get ready to experience Halloween with as much terror and ghoulish spirit as possible!
