Covid emergency: the new government launches the first anti-contagion provisions while 35 thousand family doctors declare themselves available to get vaccinations. Meanwhile, according to data released by the Ministry of Health, today there are 9.630 new positive cases (yesterday 13.452). The deaths are 274 (yesterday 232); the discharged healed today are 10.335 (yesterday 8.946). Overall the number of positives is 387.903, 992 cheaper than yesterday. The swabs carried out are 170.672; the infected with the virus hospitalized in intensive care are 2.118 while they remain in home isolation 367.630 people tested positive for Covid.
The first provisions of the new government
Il cabinet, on the proposal of the President Mario Draghi and the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza, approved a decree law that introduces further urgent provisions to deal with the pandemic emergency. The decree provides for the continuation, up to 27 March next, throughout the national territory, of the ban on moving between different Regions or autonomous Provinces. Except for movements motivated by proven work needs or situations of necessity or health reasons. In any case, the return to one's residence, domicile or home is permitted.
Until March 27, 2021, in red areas, journeys to inhabited private homes other than one's own are not permitted. Unless they are due to business, necessity or health reasons. On the other hand, journeys to private inhabited homes remain allowed, between 5 and 22, in the yellow zone within the same Region. And in the orange area within the same municipality. The movement is allowed up to a maximum of two people who can bring with them children under 14 (or other children under 14 over whom they exercise parental responsibility. And also disabled or non self-sufficient cohabiting people. In the orange areas, for municipalities with a population not exceeding 5 thousand inhabitants, travel to different municipalities is also allowed, as long as it is within 30 kilometers of the borders.
35 thousand family doctors ready to do vaccinations
“We estimate that at least 35 thousand family doctors throughout Italy they would be ready to carry out anti-Covid vaccinations in their studies starting immediately. This, of course, having the doses available and on the basis of regional agreements already in place or which will be defined shortly ".

First provisions of the new government: millions of vaccine doses on the way
By the end of March, Italy should receive 13 million doses since the beginning of the vaccination campaign. This was announced by Franco Locatelli, president of the Higher Health Council on a national television broadcast. "The limiting factor of this first phase was the number of doses that were made available - commented Locatelli - We had 4 million and 700 thousand, we used about ¾, compared to the 6 million initially indicated. Another 7 million doses are expected in March".
