A proposal that is causing a lot of discussion at the moment. Especially on social media, practically nothing else is talked about and the fans, rather than the championship matches, go wild with comments on this proposal.
What is the Elite Series?
The new league would be named Series Elite. Very few Italian teams would participate in this “Elite Series”: only 14 city teams with a large number of fans. On the one hand, many excluded (think of teams that have already been in the football elite for years such as Empoli and Sassuolo, to take a few examples), on the other, many new clubs that perhaps from the lower categories would be included in this series not for sporting merit .
Elite Series: teams from Serie B arriving?
Among the 14 teams of this particular (let's use a euphemism) proposal launched by De Laurentiis, there would be two Series B: i.e. the Bari (of which his son is the owner) and Palermo, who taking into account the numbers recorded last season and the economic guarantees they bring would have a candidacy.
