"In February, another 4 million vaccines arrive, adding to the two already arrived. They must be guaranteed and above all we must administer them very quickly ". This is one of the steps in the intervention of Minister for Regional AffairsFrancesco Boccia, during the summit with the Regions for the adaptation of the vaccination plan.
Meanwhile, according to data from the Ministry of Health, today they are registered 12.715 new positive cases (13.574 yesterday) while new deaths are 421 (yesterday 477). The discharged healed today are 16.764 (yesterday 19.879); the overall positive cases are 463.352, 4.472 less than yesterday. The swabs carried out in the last 24 hours are 298.010, the hospitalized in intensive care are 2.218 while 441.036 people affected by Covid-19 remain in home isolation.
Millions of vaccines coming for February
Another important news is that the Italian drug agency (Aifa) has approved the AstraZeneca anti-Covid-19 vaccine. "With the ok to AstraZeneca we enter an expansive phase of vaccination and serves all the staff we have selected". These are the considerations of the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, during the summit with the presidents of the Regions.
