This is certainly an important turning point for the fight at Covid-19. The American biotechnology company Moderna, founded in 2010, based in Cambridge (Massachusetts), has announced the efficacy of another anti-Coronavirus vaccine. The data relating to the excellent results achieved come after the phase 3 human experimentation of the mRNA -1273 vaccine. The study, designed together with the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), also involved subjects such as over 65 and suffering from chronic diseases.

As already mentioned, its effectiveness reaches 95% (94,5 to be exact). Moderna's analysis was based on results obtained on 95 patients with confirmed Sars-CoV-2 infections. In addition, it has aexcellent resistance to temperatures. It can be kept for 30 days at a temperature ranging from 2 to 8 degrees (that of a normal domestic refrigerator so to speak). While, at room temperature, it resists up to 12 hours. Now, the European medicines agency is examining the data obtained from the trial of the mRna-123 vaccine developed by Moderna Biotech Spain (controlled by Moderna).
New hopes for the fight against Coronavirus
Moderna's announcement adds more hope to the fight against Coronavirus. Pfizer also disclosed the efficacy of the vaccine it developed. And this means that there are already two vaccines that can be used in this dramatic war against Covid-19.
