The optimal dose interval is 21 days for Pfizer-Biontech's Comirnaty vaccine and 28 days for Covid -19 Moderna vaccine, respectively. However, should it be necessary to delay the second dose by a few days, it is not possible in any case to exceed the interval of 42 days for both mRNA vaccines. It is reiterated that to obtain optimal protection it is necessary to complete the vaccination cycle with the second dose ". These are the provisions of the Technical-Scientific Commission ofAIFA attached to the new circular of the Ministry of Health 'Sars-CoV2 vaccination'.
