The government, based on data from recent weeks, is reshaping the various areas into which the country is divided: some regions will change color depending on how they have managed thepandemic emergency in this last month. In the period from 4 to 17 November 2020, the transmissibility index Rt calculated on symptomatic cases is equal to 1,08. Average values of Rt between 1 and 1,25 are found in most of the Italian regions and autonomous provinces. In 4 regions, the point RT is less than 1, indicating a significant decrease in transmissibility: the draft of the weekly monitoring Iss-ministry of health.
The ministry also announces that in the last 24 hours they have registered 28.352 new positive cases for a grand total of positive cases of 787.893. Therefore, 7.952 currently positive less than yesterday. There are 827 new deaths (yesterday they were 822); the increase in buffers is equal to 222.803 (yesterday they were 232.711). In intensive care they still remain hospitalized 3.782 patients well 64 less than yesterday!
The data is encouraging but doctors are holding back the enthusiasm
Although there has been a decline in infections in recent weeks, doctors are making a heartfelt appeal not to slow down the restrictions. The data “show signs of a slowdown in the growth of the SarsCov2 epidemic, however the overload conditions of the hospital system, with particularly high occupancy of intensive care units and Covid areas, require that restrictive measures not be relaxed.
We recall that in the last week there have been over 200 thousand new cases and 4.980 deaths while hospitalizations with symptoms are currently more than 34 thousand ". This is the appeal of the inter-union of the medical, health and veterinary management on the feared reopening in view of the Christmas holidays.
Regions that want more freedom
