He never ceases to amaze us and give us emotions, thanks to his prominent character: Commissioner Montalbano, perfectly personified by Luca Zingaretti. Passions, intrigues, and mysterious stories color the already splendid seascape, which is the background to Salvo's life. Fortunately, and to everyone's delight, the Sicilian genius of crime is back with two special events, and with lots of news!
The twelfth season of Inspector Montalbano
Just think of Montalbano, and the initials of the most loved fiction in Italy. The first episode had aired precisely on 6 May of the 1999, transmitted by Rai. Since then, more and more spectators have become passionate about the exploits of Salvo Montalbano, so much so that the famous journalist Dominic Naso, wrote about: "Commissioner Montalbano is an event, it is the Sanremo of fiction, the World Series of Made in Italy series". In a moment we find ourselves catapulted into the Vigata police station, where Montalbano spends his days, between one case and another. You seem to hear his inevitable islander accent when he picks up the receiver and utters his classic greeting: "Hello, Montalbano I'm ...". Fazio with the latest tips on the case, Mimi always struggling with disturbing and helpful young ladies. Catarella with his clumsy attempts to help Montalbano. Everything as it once was, well… well, actually not! there twelfth season Montalbano reserves a lot of news.
It was decided, first of all, of anticipate it by a week, a very welcome choice to the faithful audience, who anxiously awaited the broadcast, each time with the same trepidation. Filming, which began on April 24, 2017, saw the flawless Zingaretti compete with new adventures and murderous puzzles. The two new episodes will be inspired by Camilleri's latest stories: Love, The trade carousel, and The dress rehearsal. There will be, also this season, thanks to the direction of Alberto Sironi, equivocal and controversial arcana, which will be dissolved with indomitable courage by our affectionate commissioner!
New year, new characters!
The cast will include the classic faces that have always accompanied us (or almost), such as that of the fantastic Sonia Bergamasco in the role of Livia, Montalbano's undying love. Then we still have the dear Fazio, played by Peppino mazzotta, and the very nice and clumsy Catarella, staged by the talented actor Angelo Russo. However, there is no shortage of new characters, which will give the new stories an even more heterogeneous and intense character: Fabrizio Bentivoglio, Serena Iansiti, Stella Egypt and Sebastiano Lo Monaco. In short, the ingredients for an explosive mix are there, all we need to do is tell you when these long-awaited episodes will air. Well, the date is February 12. Do not miss it, please!
