Caterina is a multifaceted and prepared actress, she passes with ease from television to theater, with important forays also to the cinema. His refined, authentic acting technique launched his face all over Italy, with millions of fans scattered throughout our beautiful country. With a bit of luck, we reached Caterina by telephone, for a pleasant interview exclusively for us at italiani.it.

Thanks Caterina, for your time, what does being an actress mean for you?

Let's start immediately with a very complex question. As far as I'm concerned, this profession has undergone a very dynamic evolution over the years. When I started almost two decades ago I had a more naïve and expectant approach, I saw the actor's work as a way to live and explore different lives from mine. And maybe see success and fame as goals. Today, when I have achieved many of the goals I set for myself, and I have realized that success comes and goes, my relationship with work has changed. I find it more stimulating to try to tackle roles that give more meaning to my communicative part than to that of appearing.

What does the theater mean to you?

In the last two films for the Cinema that I played as the protagonist ("ARBERIA" by Francesco Olivieri in 2019 and "MAGARI Resto" by Mario Parruccini, currently being shown in cinemas all over Italy), they gave me the opportunity to give life to two very different characters, but both with a story to tell. Furthermore, I rediscovered the magic and humanity of the theater and certainly all these evolutions in my work have made me understand that for me being an actress means communicating and above all telling.

You have worked in different formats, do you remember what he introduced you to the Italians?

I was lucky enough to take part in the most important Italian television productions (such as “A doctor in the family), but I also had the privilege of being able to work in important television films directed by authors such as Enzo Monteleone and Riccardo Donna.

What are the emotions of being a public figure?

Many think that being a well-known character is always an advantage. It is certainly very pleasant to receive compliments and appreciation from people who follow your work, but this also has a downside. A little privacy is lost and an important communicative responsibility is acquired.

New projects in the pipeline for you Caterina?

I always have many projects in the pipeline. I try to range between the various facets of this profession. Last but not least the teaching, in which I discovered that I am very comfortable, giving me very satisfying results.

Your best Ciak?

I have had many unforgettable moments in my profession. If I have to think about the Ciak most important I can say that it was the first of my career (smiles ed).

Do you want to say hello to all the readers of italiani.it?

I am pleased to greet all the readers of italiani.it and wish everyone to be happy. Thanks again Omar, see you at the cinema.
