Cannonau, the red head of Italy

Cannonau, a red of Sardinian origin, is once again making a name for itself. The Cagliari vines that have never disappointed the Italians have a very long and rewarding historical journey for Sardinian soil. This boasts one of the most popular products in Italy and Europe. Thanks to historical sources it is now a certainty that while knowledge about this type of vine was slowly expanding, Sardinia was already in possession of the black berry vine. And the Sardinian population was already a teacher of the cultivation of this rare and precious product.
The skill and love that the Sardinians have dedicated to this production have made it one of the most loved wines. For its liqueur taste and its refinement.

Ancient Sardinia in a barrel

That Sardinia has a very complex history behind it is now well known. Its position is one that has forged not only the character of the population. But also its knowledge and its evolution in the Mediterranean. As well as that it is still the most fascinating and full of mystery region.
Sardinia contains many ancient pieces. And it gives no respite to researchers who try to discover all its secrets.

The latest discoveries

Cannonau has a history behind it that has always fascinated historians and researchers. So you never lose sight of the news concerning the birth of the good old Sardinian wine.
A search that actually took off when an old press with traces of wine was found in the early 90s. A similar discovery has led to a change in European beliefs about the most ancient origins of wine, which seem to no longer date back to France. It is Sardinia that probably has the primacy of European wine.
To pay homage to a tradition of more than three thousand years which the indigenous population scrupulously takes care of and of which the historical importance of cannonau was discovered only a few weeks ago.
