For three years now, Cala di Forno It's on sale. It is one of the most beautiful bays in Italy. A real treasure located in the heart of the Maremma Natural Park, in Tuscany. There could be major improvements, all of a sudden, now that a buyer has been identified, after a long wait.
An agreement seems to be at the gates between the current owner and Patrick Bertelli. A decidedly important name in Italian entrepreneurship, considering how he covers the role of CEO of Prada. He is also the husband of Miuccia Prada, a famous designer.
The purchase of Cala di Forno
The three current owners (sisters) have dedicated themselves with great care to this area, transforming Cala di Forno into a place dedicated to sustainable tourism. Inside stands the ancient building of the Old Customs, which boasts five apartments after the renovations carried out, so as to be able to accommodate up to 15 people. Eight, however, the beds available in the "fishermen's house ".
The last steps for the change of ownership would be missing, even if it is necessary to give space to Uccellaia Park, as required by law. The latter has a possible right of first refusal on some areas. An alleged complication that seems to belong only to the world of hypotheses. Indeed, we are already talking about the final figure, with Bertelli who could put on the plate well 20 million euro. A presumed sum, considering how the details of the operation are secret.
The show of Cala di Forno
Bertelli is certainly no stranger to the charm of this area of Tuscany. In fact, he knows well Punta Ala, not far away. This became the headquarters of Red Moon, of which the entrepreneur is the patron. A territory that cannot help but capture the gaze. Cala di Forno is located, specifically, in Magliano, in Tuscany. Sheltered from the winds, this bay is characterized by fine sand. A treasure to be guarded at all costs, to the point that until 2012 the park forbade access to the public.
It is certainly not a suitable place for everyone, considering the effort required to enjoy it. If it is true that the Municipality provides a bus that leads to the Pinottolai locality, it is necessary to consider how one is required walk of about three and a half hours. During this time you will find yourself immersed in the Mediterranean scrub. An excursion to say the least pleasant and not impervious, which repays the effort of tourists with the final panorama. Not everyone, however, is willing to try their hand at this long journey. It goes without saying that anyone who has the opportunity can reach the bay by sea.
A treasure to be discovered
The purchase of Cala di Forno could allow a better safeguard of the area. This treasure must be protected at all costs. It is a real paradise for nature lovers. Living an experience on this beach is very different from doing it elsewhere, in Tuscany or in most of the Italian seaside sites.
It is not uncommon, in fact, that they stroll there volpi, fallow deer e boars. In the skies, moreover, it is possible to admire the flight of the Peregrine Falcon. A territory that allows you to reconnect with the wild and unspoiled nature. Crystal clear sea and zero refreshment points. Not the classic tourist place, then. A silent and peaceful bay, which must be protected at all costs.
