We had it anticipated in the morning and now it's official: Bari has sacked Mignani. But today there was another dismissal in Serie B (laws).
This is the statement from the red and white club: “SSC Bari announces that it has relieved Mr. Michele Mignani of his role as head coach of the First Team. Heartfelt thanks go to the Genoa coach for the professionalism and dedication demonstrated every single day at the helm of the red and whites who triumphantly led them to win promotion to Serie B, until they came close to achieving a memorable feat last season. With great esteem and gratitude for the coach and for the man Mignani, capable of proving himself as a person of value on and off the pitch, the Society thanks him for his commitment while wishing at the same time a future full of human and professional satisfaction."
Idea Bari: Marino for the bench
In the morning the news spread of some contacts between Bari and D'Angelo, former Pisa coach. In the background there was Fabio Liverani (who would also have been contacted by Lecco). The latest rumors, however, speak of contacts with Pasquale Marino. For the Sicilian coach it would be a return to the bench after a long absence. The last time on the bench was 2021, when he was chosen as the new coach of Crotone, third from last in Serie B with 7 points in 10 games, taking over from the sacked Francesco Modesto. His adventure lasted only 7 games: after a draw and 6 defeats came his dismissal.
