Autogiro d'Italia, traveling through the Belpaese with vintage rhombuses. The event is in full swing with the magnificent historic cars as protagonists crossing the boot along an evocative route in stages through the fascinating scenery of the Italian peninsula. The Autogiro d'Italia is inspired by the long-distance car races on the road which, as early as 1901, were organized in our country.

That of granfondo motor racing on the road, it represents an important Italian tradition which, with the organization of the Autogiro automobile d'Italia, returns from 2019 to being a fixed appointment in the panorama of Historical Challenges. A 'test of regularityfor which the competitors must respect a roadmap or simply a 'tourist raid'. This is the spirit with which the crews are called upon to face an evocative route in stages. The autogyro has already been underway for a few days and will end on June 10th: a historic race with an enthralling journey, to say the least, to be discovered.

Giovanni Agnelli, Emanuele Bricherasio, Vincenzo Lancia. And then again champions of the caliber of Mario Umberto Borzacchini, Tazio Nuvolari, Campari, Varzi, Taruffi, Fangio. Up to the present day with Markku Allen or Riccardo Patrese, many have wanted to experience the thrill of these extraordinary challenges. These are unique emotions, a dream for daredevils who are there'Autogiro d'Italia – Historic Challenge wants to revive the vintage rhombuses to pilots and enthusiasts. Never before in this edition of the Autogiro d'Italia have so many elements merged together to give life to a unique event of its kind.

Traveling around Italy aboard vintage cars

Among the stops the Piazza dei Miracoli di Pisa and also Tortona, first oppidum of the Ligurian Stadielli and then a Roman colony. It's on the itinerary Torino with a tribute to National Automobile Museum and at the Lingotto, the place where the dream of motorising Italy became a reality. From the city of the car to the top of Europe, a Courmayeur with the 4810 meters of Mont Blanc. And then there is Biella with its city car circuit which on 9 June will see the crews of the Autogiro d'Italia parade along the same route where Tazio nuvolari he won the grand prix of what later became today's Formula 1. From the Langhe you descend into the Bassa Parmense with Soragna and the gastronomic excellences to be tasted among fortresses and castles. The food museums of the province of Parma act as an inviting setting. After more than 1600 kilometers the vintage diamonds will subside on the seafront of Marina di Pisa where the Autogiro d'Italia 2023 will end.
