The Christmas holidays bear the signature of Italy. For years now the boot has been filled with snow, fir trees, the smell of chestnuts and cotton candy. It is well established that winter revolves mainly around the religious celebration. The tree, the gifts, the nativity scene and the lit fireplace form a "warm" picture of tradition. However, tourists don't come here for this alone. L'Italy as a city with a large cultural and artistic heritage is not removed from giving citizens and guests a "luminous" example of an artistic event linked to the Nativity.
Turin and Salerno are the main cities from November to January thanks at the exhibition of the Artist's LightsArtists from all over the world come together to design and build the light installations that have been around the city for many years now.

From Turin ...

The Turin tradition of Luci d'Artista was born in '98. Streets and squares are filled with decorations. For the occasion, the Mole Antonelliana is also illuminated. Thanks to the "twinning" between the Piedmontese city and Salerno, an art exchange was established that has never disappointed the expectations of tourists. There is often a full house among hotels and restaurants, more and more are organized buses and guided tours.
The two cities, always looking for new ways to surprise users, every year add some particular details to the collection of Luci d'Artista. This year in Turin there will be the village of Santa Claus, there are already long lines of children eager to get to know him!

… In Salerno

Salerno already boasts the record of the tallest illuminated Christmas tree in Italy. In Campania this year it will be the Ferris wheel on the Gulf of Salerno to keep everyone with their nose up. It will also be possible to dine on the illuminated wheel! All accompanied by the many markets rich in typical products and delicacies. In short, anyone who chooses Italy as a destination to spend the New Year certainly will not be dissatisfied. Indeed, he will be spoiled for choice. What will satisfy the curiosity of Christmas art lovers the most: the north or the south?
