Thoughts run very fast, they often encounter discrepancies and stand out in the chiaroscuro of almost deserted cities. Almost everything postponed, suspended or canceled. You work and study from home smart working takes shape and time has expanded. These are hard times, of resistance and of heroes in shirts. Doctors and nurses on the front line, to save lives and give assistance to the many sufferers of Coronavirus. The Italians applaud, they dedicate flash mob from their balconies to hospital staff and to Italy. They dedicated the Mameli Hymn for themselves and for others. Never before has the concept of nation been so close and so dear to Italians as in this moment. 159 years have passed since that March 17, 1861. On 26 October 1860, Vittorio Emanuele II and Giuseppe Garibaldi met in Teano, near the city of Caserta. On 17 March 1861 the Kingdom of Italy was declared, with Turin as its capital (Rome officially became the capital in 1871). That day was born, on paper, a unit that was developed in the following years; in 1866, in fact, the Veneto and the province of Mantua were annexed, followed by the annexation of Lazio in 1870 and finally, the annexation of Trentino-Alto Adige and Venezia Giulia in 1918.

To get involved inenthusiasm and the hope of a new life. Stop, reflect, continue to hear our loved ones and distant people with all the telematic means at our disposal. Celebrate while staying at home, the great nation that we are through social media. Without imprudence and with the necessary confidence of our resources. To finally be united, from North to South. To remember that we are Italian. To be ready to start again stronger than before.
