A concert that touches the heart and makes the soul of the most romantic dream. An exhibition where the most famous songs linked to the history of Italian and American cinema will come back to life on the stage of the Ghione Theater in Rome on March 29, thanks to the artistic complicity of pop tenor Jonathan Cilia Faro (of Sicilian origins) and of pop soul singer Veronica Liberati (Roman).
"It deals with – explains the tenor Cilia Faro – of fifteen songs taken from films such as, for example, "Love Story", "The Godfather", "She-She", "Can't help falling in love" that surely each of us, at least once in our life, has heard or maybe thanks to which he fell in love. Pieces that have been translated into many languages and that we will propose in English and Italian, all under the direction of Vincenzo Fontes”.
A show that is actually part of a European tour entitled "Romantic" which will also see the two artists engaged in Sicily, in Modica at the Teatro Garibaldi on March 21 (which has already sold out) and in Romania, on March 25 in Bucharest and on March 26 in Cluj Napoca.
The two professionals have already trod several international stages together: “Veronica Liberati – continues Maestro Cilia Faro – will be the “special guest star” of this evening. As soon as I got to know her, her incredible voice struck me a lot, I consider her the Italian “Adele” but with a lot more grit than the British singer ”.
Jonathan Cilia Faro, it should be remembered, is known above all in America (he has worked with Alan Parson, Marc Martel, Donny Ross as well as with Italian artists of the caliber of Sergio Cammariere, Annalisa Minetti) while Veronica Liberati was appreciated in Italy thanks to the talent show "All Together Now" presented by Michelle Hunziker and abroad with "The Voice Romania". But this Italian leg of the tour will also be the subject of a series of shots for a special on the tenor for the American PBS which will be filmed on director Sebastiano Rizzo and which will be broadcast on overseas networks in the 2023/2024 season.
“The collaboration with Jonathan Cilia Faro – explains Rizzo – was born during the Covid. For him I shot several videos such as, for example, "The Italian" by Toto Cutugno", followed by the video clip and the short film on the work "Ridi Pagliaccio" by Ruggero Leoncavallo (mix between opera and cinema) with which we have won several awards worldwide, up to the "Godfather". As a theater actor and then director, I chose the Ghione Theater as it is a beautiful structure, with a large stage. We will play on the details, the lights and the cuts that will cover the show at 360° and the audience will also be involved. We will use 4 to 6 cameras. We are aiming to create a television evening of the highest level”. At this point, all you have to do is enjoy the show.
