To Alaska by bike

Whether it's desert sand or Alaskan snow, the bike is now considered the ideal companion by the most extreme travelers. Moving in total freedom, enjoying the landscape and keeping fit make it the perfect vehicle for our adventures. If we then add the fact of being able to deal with any breakdowns alone, this explains its success among the many travelers.
And Stefano Farronato is one of those who have chosen the bike for their adventures. His journey along the Dalton Highway, a road that crosses Alaska for 666 km, was in fact covered entirely by mountain bike.

Between ice, snow and Grizzly

Starting last June, Stefano in just over a month covered the beauty of almost 1400 km. Round trip through one of the wildest and most inhospitable nations on the planet.
Alaska is certainly not famous for its mild climate and peaceful wildlife. Suffice it to say that in July temperatures fluctuate between 5 and 10 degrees, with even lower peaks at night. While bears, moose and other wildlife populate the immense forests.
Stefano's challenge was to travel across the country on the Dalton Highway. A famous road that crosses Alaska from North to South, with many particularly difficult points for passage. Along its path there are also very few inhabited centers and no mobile connections, making some areas practically isolated from civilization.
Without losing heart, the courageous Stefano succeeded in this feat by overcoming the many obstacles encountered. All with a bike, a couple of backpacks and his will to win.

From snow to ice, to the possible dangers created by crossings with local fauna. Stronger than everything and everyone, Stefano managed to make his trip to Alaska.
But this is certainly not Stefano's first undertaking. Passionate about adventure and sport in general from an early age, he has been the protagonist of numerous expeditions. Between 2000 and 2015 he practically traveled the world with 13 expeditions to the wildest places on the planet. From the Himalayas to Tierra del Fuego, passing through Ecuador to Alaska. Stefano's desire to know knows no bounds.
