Structure

It is a small room with very small dimensions (only seven meters by two) which is accessed from the New Sacristy; here are also exhibited some charcoal drawings made by Michelangelo. The small room was discovered in 1975 by Paolo Dal Poggetto, then director of the Museum, due to a restoration. During the inspection some of these were found sketches made by the great artist. These are drawings of human figures from some of his most iconic works, including the David kept in the Bargello. A hidden treasure discovered by chance, as often happens, with an inestimable historical, artistic and cultural heritage.
