“The villages are the deepest and most authentic dimension of Italy and their beauty should not be understood only in an aesthetic and artistic sense. It is an ethical beauty, of the spirit, of values and of man, it concerns the landscape on which I am so determined to protect” said the Undersecretary for Culture Vittorio Sgarbi in connection from Sutri. The undersecretary does not get too excited about the digital museum: “A computer is enough to do it. I, on the other hand, would prefer a large and beautiful exhibition that collects live the great masterpieces that come from the villages, on the model of Liberated Art 1937-1947. Masterpieces saved from war which is now at the Quirinale”.
