The challenge of Michele Evangelisti
Running: the simplest and most natural sporting activity for a human being. Whether wearing shoes or barefoot, on sand or asphalt, nothing stops us from running. The only thing we need is some road and the will to face it. Michele Evangelisti has plenty of streets and desire to sell. Suffice it to say that in November he will cross Australia running. From the desert to Adelaide, perhaps flanked by some kangaroo.
From the other side of the world
November 13th from Darwin, Michele Evangelisti will travel across the continent. And he will do it simply by running, because running is a passion for Michele that surpasses all imagination.
With two blue jerseys won in 2011 at the World Championships in Holland and in 2013 at the European Championships in France, Michele is the classic person who never stops. In July 2015 he covered 735 km in the Alpe Adria Trial in 142 hours and 4 minutes, setting the record.
In short, a life of racing, but also of many other sports. In fact, Michele practices various disciplines such as Karate, rugby and rowing. All between one break and another in his hard work as a Forest Guard. Work that allows him to stay in contact with the other great passion, namely nature.
And now his biggest challenge: 3100km across Australia.
Running for those who can't
But that of Michele Evangelisti does not want to be a challenge only for himself. Its goal is to help those unable to run with the program Running for those who can't. And it will do so through a fundraiser for the AUS Niguarda Onlus. Association that has always been committed to helping and supporting people with spinal cord injuries and children born with spina bifida.
Fundraising that will be possible thanks to an App that can be downloaded for free on our mobile phone. Once installed, we will be able to follow Michele on his journey and buy one or more kilometers of the route traveled. Each benefactor can also attach a photo and a brief thought in the section purchased.
A beautiful and original gesture that will help all those who dream of emulating the feats of Michele Evangelisti.
