The 61st edition of Boat Show of GenoVa, the great exhibition dedicated to the world of navigation, held in the Ligurian capital. The inauguration
The new edition of the Salone officially kicked off yesterday 16 September, with the traditional flag-raising ceremony, which took place in the Terrace of the Blue Pavilion. The event was embellished by the homage of "Nave Rizzo", Fremm unit Navy engaged in anti-piracy activity.
After the ceremony, space for the inaugural conference "Made in Italy, the country that pulls the country", which explores the themes of boating, fashion and design. After the first greetings of the president of Confindustria, Carlo Bonomi, there were the interventions of various guests such as the minister of infrastructures and sustainable mobility, Enrico Giovannini; the president of Confindustria Nautica and I Saloni Nautici, Saverio Cecchi; the President of the Liguria Region, Giovanni Toti and others. During the inaugural day, the "Rounditaly Genoa-Trieste" also took place, the longest non-stop regatta in the Mediterranean, which has 1.130 miles of navigation and is organized by Yacht Club Italiano, Società Velice di Barcola and Grignano, Barcolana and Confindustria Nautica, together with the help of the Italian Sailing Federation. The regatta combined the 61st edition of the Boat Show with the 53rd edition of the Barcolana, two major events concerning the world of the sea.
The Genoa Boat Show
The Boat Show is an exhibition organized by Confindustria and is one of the most representative events aimed at celebrating Made in Italy excellence. Over 200.000 square meters of exhibitioni, with five areas dedicated to: Yacht and Superyacht, Sailing Word, Boating Discovery, Tech Trade and Living The Sea. These areas, mainly set up outdoors, can also be visited online, in the SnTv streaming channel of the Boat Show. On this channel it will also be possible to find all the videos made inside the Salone, from interviews to virtual visits.
At the Boat Show the great names of world boating return to exhibit, after years of absence. Space for famous players such as Ferretti, Cranchi, Baglietto, Absolute, Arcadia and Sirena. Names that are added to the consolidated presences in previous editions, namely Sanlorenzo, Azimut Benetti, Fipa group, Amer Yachts, Bluegame, Pardo Yachts, Rio Yachts and Sessa Marine.
Many premieres of Italian and international brands. As well as the news for lovers of the marine world, thanks to a multi-specialized format, able to satisfy the interest of the public for every type of product and every type of motor boat, from long range explorer to coupé, from lobster to crossovers. .
During the long review there will also be the second edition of the “Design Innovation Award”. This is the coveted award established in 2020 by Confindustria Nautica and I Saloni Nautici. Among the most anticipated guests, the Italian athletes who participated in the Tokyo Olympics, the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team and the Florentine navigator Giancarlo Pedote, who crossed the finish line of the ninth edition of the Vendée Globe becoming one of the few skippers to have completed a solo, non-stop and unassisted world tour.
